GEORGE TOWN: Police have launched an investigation into a viral video alleging misconduct by patrol officers during an enforcement operation at Puncak Erskine in Tanjung Tokong.
Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police became aware of the footage circulating on social media today.
The video, showing mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) personnel on duty at Jalan Fettes, drew public attention after being shared by several Facebook accounts, including "Zippygiraffe43" and "M Riza Ni".
"A police report has been lodged by the personnel involved, denying any corrupt misconduct during the inspection," he said in a statement.
