PETALING JAYA: Police investigations on Jempol MP Shamsulkahar Deli over remarks he made while campaigning in the Negeri Sembilan election are still continuing as the probe papers have been returned to the police by the state prosecutor’s office.

In a written parliamentary reply, home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the initial stage of the investigation had been completed and the probe papers referred to the Negeri Sembilan prosecutor’s office on Aug 21 for review and further instructions.

He said the probe papers were returned on Sept 3 with further instructions for the investigating officer.
