PETALING JAYA: Operations at Senai International Airport (LTAS) in Johor Bahru were disrupted by low visibility caused by haze, affecting five incoming and outgoing flights this morning.
Transport minister Loke Siew Fook said the adverse weather conditions made landing unsafe, forcing incoming aircraft to be diverted to KLIA and Singapore's Changi Airport, Utusan Malaysia reported.
"In addition to landing restrictions, departing flights were instructed to delay their take-offs," Loke was quoted as saying.
He said his own flight from KLIA to Senai was delayed for nearly two hours due to the poor weather conditions in Johor.
