The Shah Alam sessions court set bail for Ang Lie Giap and R Yuvarajakumar at RM15,000 and RM5,000 respectively, with one surety each.

PETALING JAYA: A “tonto”, or lookout, pleaded not guilty in the Shah Alam sessions court today to 55 charges of giving RM62,900 in bribes to three traffic police officers between January 2022 and February 2026.

Ang Lie Giap, 33, entered the plea after all the charges were read out before judge Nasir Nordin.

He is accused of corruptly giving money to three traffic police officers from the Petaling Jaya and Negeri Sembilan police headquarters and the Kesas Expressway EMPV (expressway mobile police vehicle) patrol office as an inducement for them not to inspect lorries during roadblocks.
