KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Salina Saibi has urged fellow artiste Tisha Shamsir to offer a face-to-face apology to veteran producer and director Datuk Yusof Haslam, following a controversy that has damaged the reputation of the Gerak Khas franchise.

The backlash follows Tisha's arrest during a police raid on a Kuala Lumpur entertainment venue on July 7.

The actress, whose real name is Shanorbiah Shamsir Alam, was subsequently charged in an ongoing drug-related case, to which she pleaded not guilty.

Speaking outside the Kuala Lumpur Magistrates' Court on Oct 8, Tisha issued a public statement asking for forgiveness.
