IPOH: Schools in Perak will resume normal operations tomorrow as air pollutant index (API) readings across the state remain below 150.
Perak Education Department director Zulkafli Mohamed Mokhtar said the decision was made following improvements in air quality, with all monitoring stations in the state recording API readings below the unhealthy threshold of 150 as of 2pm today.
"Therefore, all educational institutions under the Education Ministry in Perak will operate as usual from Oct 12," he said in a statement today.
He said the department would continue to monitor API readings in collaboration with district education offices to ensure appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the ministry's guidelines and directives.
