(Gambar fail)PETALING JAYA: A teacher was charged in the Kota Bharu magistrates’ court today with negligently causing the death of a student at SMK Tanjong Mas in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, in April.
Berita Harian reported that Sakinah Ismail, 57, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read before magistrate Wan I’zzat Wan Abdullah.
She is charged with negligently causing the death of a Form 1 student at the surau of SMK Tanjong Mas at 1.40pm on April 12.
The charge was brought under Section 304A of the Penal Code, which provides for up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine or both.
