(Mattel pic)LONDON: Celine Dion has joined the Barbie universe, with a new doll inspired by one of the most recognisable moments of her career.

The Barbie Signature doll recreates the navy, long-sleeved dress Dion wore when she performed “My Heart Will Go On”, the theme song from “Titanic”, at the 1998 Academy Awards.

Its hair is swept into an updo and paired with silver earrings, while a blue necklace provides an unmistakable nod to the fictional “Heart of the Ocean” jewel at the centre of the 1997 blockbuster.

“It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career,” Dion said.
