'Mentega Terbang' was released on Nov 28, 2021, before the home ministry banned it on Sept 1, 2023.KUALA LUMPUR: A prosecution witness, who lodged a police report against the controversial film ‘Mentega Terbang’ in 2023, testified in the magistrates' court that the movie did not make her question her Islamic faith.

Yamna Ismail said she had already learned about reincarnation from other sources, including reading materials, films and anime, before watching "Mentega Terbang”.

She said this during cross-examination by defence counsel Zaid Malek.

Zaid: Although this film mentions reincarnation, you remained a Muslim?
