(Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: The air quality in Pasir Gudang and Larkin, Johor, reached the very unhealthy level this evening, while 27 other areas across the country reported unhealthy haze conditions.

Both Pasir Gudang and Larkin recorded air pollutant index (API) readings of 202 as of 4pm.

API readings of between zero and 50 are categorised as good, 51 to 100 as moderate, 101 to 200 as unhealthy, 201 to 300 as very unhealthy, and 301 and above as hazardous.

Unhealthy API readings were reported in Johan Setia, Selangor (184), Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (181), Pengerang, Johor (181) and Bandaraya Melaka, Melaka (180).
