NAGOYA: National padel pair Christian Didier Chin and Aidan Yunus settled for the silver medal after losing to the top seeds from Qatar, Mashari Naif and Rashed Naif, in the final of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Saturday.

In the final match held at the Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center, Christian and Aidan were unable to match their opponents' prowess, losing 6-3, 6-1 in 55 minutes.

Nevertheless, the achievement remains a source of pride, as the national duo displayed great fighting spirit to reach the final by defeating the second seeds from Iran, Farsad Shahi and Amirmohammad Jamshidi, in Friday's semi-final.

Christian and Aidan bounced back from a set down to secure a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory, thereby booking their spot in the final.
