Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the suspect was arrested at a house in Johor Bahru at about 5pm yesterday.PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a man who allegedly defrauded victims of RM960,020 by impersonating as an aide-de-camp to the Raja Muda of Selangor in deals involving the purchase of houses and vehicles.
Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the suspect, in his 40s, was arrested at a house in Johor Bahru at about 5pm yesterday, reported Berita Harian.
Shazeli said the man, who had no connection to the Selangor royal institution or the Selangor palace staff, had been on the run since Oct 13.
Two acquaintances suspected of helping to hide him were also arrested.
