Former Sarawak PKR chief Baru Bian said the High Court of Malaya has no jurisdiction to hear his case as the cause of action arose in Sarawak.KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here has dismissed former Selangau MP Baru Bian's bid to strike out a suit filed by PKR against him for breaching a RM10 million bond.
Baru, 68, is one of six former PKR MPs sued by the party for breaching the bond signed before the 14th general election in 2018.
Justice Rosli Mat Nor dismissed the application after considering submissions from both parties during the proceedings.
"The court dismissed the first defendant's (Baru) application with costs of RM4,000," he said.
