PETALING JAYA: Malaysia will need a business plan spanning at least five years if it wants to return to the Formula One calendar, says International Automobile Federation (FIA) president Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
He said Malaysia had the track, investment and motorsport foundation needed to host F1, but any return would require proper planning and a clear assessment of the economic and tourism benefits, Bernama reported.
The plan should cover how the race will be financed and promoted, as well as its logistical requirements, he said.
