KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) could have four players back in contention after the 12-month suspensions imposed by FIFA over the fake heritage player scandal expired on Saturday.
Joao Figueiredo, Gabriel Palmero, Jon Irazabal and Hector Hevel are among seven players free to resume football activities following the end of their bans.
Figueiredo and Irazabal were spotted with the JDT squad at the airport before the team departed for South Korea for their Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE) clash against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at Jeonju Stadium on Tuesday.
Their presence has raised the prospect of a return to action, although it remains unclear whether either player will feature against the Korean side.
