Melaka PH chief Adly Zahari served as chief minister from 2018 to 2020.KAJANG: Melaka Pakatan Harapan chief Adly Zahari is the coalition's candidate for the chief minister if it succeeds in forming the state government following the Nov 14 state election.
PH election director Amirudin Shari said Adly, a former chief minister, was the best candidate for the position.
“Adly is the best candidate, along with a few others, but there is a consensus to name Adly as the candidate, provided we secure a majority or are entrusted with the mandate,” he told reporters here today.
Amirudin added that PH was confident of mounting a strong challenge in the state polls following the conclusion of the nomination process yesterday.
