KUALA LUMPUR: The investigation papers into the death of detainee Noorizwan Zulkefly at the Cheras police headquarters will be referred to the Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) on Wednesday for further action.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk M. Kumar said the case was being investigated under Section 331 of the Penal Code.
"The investigation papers will be submitted with recommendations for consideration, after which we will await further instructions and action from the A-GC," he told a press conference at Bukit Aman today.
Noorizwan, 42, was detained at the Cheras district police headquarters in connection with cases investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Section 457 of the Penal Code and Section 379 of the Penal Code.
