KUANTAN: A woman whose body was found entangled in a fishing net buoy line in Sungai Kuantan yesterday died by drowning.
Kuantan police chief Assistant Commissioner Ashari Abu Samah said this was confirmed through a post-mortem examination at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital yesterday.
The woman's body, clad in a red shirt and white shorts, was discovered by a member of the public near Jalan Besar at 12.38pm before police were alerted.
"Investigations found no elements of foul play, and the case has been classified as sudden death. We are still trying to establish the woman's identity.
