KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Healthcare Holdings Bhd's third-quarter revenue is expected to jump 24 per cent year-on-year to RM734 million, driven by higher patient admissions and more complex medical treatments.

RHB Research expects the healthcare group to post core net profit of RM86 million and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) of RM178 million for the quarter, supported by higher bed occupancy and improving contributions from its newer hospitals.

RHB Research analyst Eddy Do said patient admissions were expected to increase 17 per cent, while outpatient visits and daycare cases were projected to grow 15 per cent and 22 per cent, respectively.

Higher treatment intensity, reflecting a shift towards more complex inpatient cases, is expected to contribute a further 7.5 per cent to revenue growth.
