The Ministry of Education will allow trainee teachers at Institute of Teacher Education campuses to attend lectures online for four days during the Deepavali festive period.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry (MOE) will provide four days of hybrid lectures for trainee teachers at Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) campuses in conjunction with Deepavali.

Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek said the facility would be available from Nov 9 to 12 for Group A, comprising Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu, and from Nov 10 to 13 for Group B, covering Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Pahang, Sabah and the Federal Territories.

“Through this arrangement, trainee teachers returning home to celebrate Deepavali can continue attending lectures online. IPG campuses may also apply for additional leave and replacement holidays if necessary,” she said in a Facebook post today.
