MELAKA: The National Registration Department (NRD) has introduced various initiatives to make identity documentation services easier, faster and more efficient for the public.
In a Facebook post, the NRD said one of the initiatives was its participation in the Digital Village Programme to help residents update their residential addresses on their MyKad, ensuring that their identification details were accurate and up to date.
"Among the achievements recorded were the registration of 618 traditional villages in Melaka, the distribution of address stickers to 26,711 premises across 187 villages, as at July 2025, and the receipt of 7,295 applications for MyKad address changes from last year until September this year," the post read.
