MELAKA: The Melaka government intends to market its 'Kampung Digital' (Digital Village) model across the Asean region once the rural digitalisation initiative has been fully streamlined and upgraded.
Caretaker Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the model holds strong potential to be introduced to neighbouring countries as an innovative framework for residential address management and public service delivery.
He stressed, however, that the platform must undergo continuous refinement before it can be scaled up internationally.
"It must certainly be updated and enhanced to a standard where it can be marketed not only domestically, but also at the Asean level. We could potentially market it to Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam," he said.
