A Kuantan Magistrate’s Court fined 24 Vietnamese and two Malaysians RM5,000 each after they pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit online fraud on Oct 26.

KUANTAN: The Magistrate’s Court today fined twenty-four Vietnamese nationals and two local men RM5,000 each after they pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal conspiracy to commit online fraud on Oct 26.

Magistrate Ellyna Othman also ordered all the accused to serve five months’ jail in default of payment of the fine.

The two locals are Khoo Chun Shiang, 21, and Beh Zi Xuan, 29. The 24 Vietnamese nationals comprise 11 men and 13 women aged between 20 and 48.
