KUALA LUMPUR: The fifth Madani budget will focus on strengthening the economy while ensuring economic growth translates into better quality of life for the people, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said economic growth alone was insufficient if some people continued to face rising living costs.
"Therefore, the 2027 Budget will continue to focus on alleviating burdens, protecting the people, creating opportunities, and ensuring that the benefits of development are felt more equitably," he said in a post on X today.
"I will present all the details this Friday, God willing," he said.
Earlier today, Anwar briefed the media on the 2027 Budget.
