PETALING JAYA: Haze continued to blanket the country this morning, with 38 areas recording unhealthy air pollutant index (API) readings as of 11am.
Johor, which has closed all schools for two days, recorded the highest number of unhealthy air quality readings with eight areas, followed by Selangor with six, Perak with five and Pahang with four.
Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Penang recorded three areas each, while Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur had two each. Kedah and Putrajaya recorded one area each.
Segamat in Johor recorded the highest API reading at 188, followed by Nilai and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan (183 each).
