TOKYO: Japanese retail giant Fast Retailing on Thursday logged a record full-year net profit of ¥543 billion (US$3.43 billion), a rise of 25% year-on-year, buoyed by accelerating growth in North America and Europe.
The parent company of Uniqlo now expects an annual net profit of ¥560 billion for the fiscal year ending in August 2027.
Fast Retailing said in its financial statement that Uniqlo's international section "reported a record high performance in fiscal 2026 on the back of significant increases in both revenue and profit".
For the first time, "combined sales from North America and Europe outperformed those of the Greater China region", the firm said.
