KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress Bella Astillah has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her husband, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, for choosing her as his life partner despite acknowledging her own shortcomings.
Bella, whose real name is Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, 32, said she appreciated Syed Saddiq's decision to marry her and pledged to fulfil her responsibilities as a wife to the best of her ability.
"Thank you for choosing me. I know I'm not perfect, and there are many others out there," she said in an emotional message to Syed Saddiq following their wedding ceremony yesterday.
She added that she would do her utmost to become a devoted and righteous wife, expressing her commitment to building a life together with her husband.
