Amanah vice-president Adly Zahari was Melaka chief minister from May 2018 to March 2020, before his administration collapsed following the Sheraton Move.PETALING JAYA: An Amanah leader has called for party vice-president and former chief minister Adly Zahari to be named Pakatan Harapan's (PH) poster boy for the Nov 14 polls in Melaka.
Federal territories Amanah deputy chairman Hayatul Kamil noted Adly's administrative experience as Melaka chief minister from 2018 to 2020, and as federal deputy defence minister since December 2022.
"This experience puts him at a higher standard than other local (PH) leaders, who may be more active merely at the state level.
"His administration is often viewed in a positive light by the people of Melaka because of his inclusive and people-friendly approach," Hayatul said in a statement.
