The hole in which the man was found trapped in Pasir Gudang, Johor, today. (Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: A man died after being buried under soil while digging near the Taman Kedidi water tank near Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, this morning.
The Johor fire and rescue department operations centre said it received an emergency call at 10am about the incident involving the 48-year-old victim.
A search and rescue operation was carried out using specialised equipment, hoes and spades, Bernama reported.
Rain interrupted their work but the victim was successfully extricated and pronounced dead by health ministry personnel at 12.33pm.
