KUALA LUMPUR: The family of an enthusiastic fan who caused a stir online after pulling singer-actress Bella Astillah's neck for a quick peck on the cheek during her wedding reception in Muar, Johor last Sunday has issued a public apology.
The woman's daughter-in-law reached out via a phone call to ERA radio station's 3 Pagi ERA segment after her initial attempts to contact Bella directly through Instagram direct messages (DM) went unanswered.
"Our entire family would like to sincerely apologise for my mother-in-law's overenthusiastic action. I truly apologise. It was completely unexpected, and we never anticipated something like this would happen," she explained during a video post shared on the radio station's Instagram page.
