GEORGE TOWN: Penang's top officials and technical agencies will meet on Nov 2 to review the investigation into the fatal Taman Seri Rambai landslide and determine whether further action is needed to address safety concerns.
State Local Government Committee chairman Jason H'ng said the special meeting, which he would chair at Komtar, would focus on the investigation's progress, mitigation works at the site and the safety of affected residents.
The meeting will bring together the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Minerals and Geoscience Department, Drainage and Irrigation Department, Public Works Department, northeast district office, Penang Island City Council (MBPP), police and Fire and Rescue Department.
