KUALA LUMPUR: No immediate resolution is expected on the naval strike missile (NSM) cancellation woes as the process is likely to be lengthy, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said.
He said this was due to the parties involved and a lack of cooperation from the Norwegian government, despite Malaysia's requests for assistance following the failure to obtain an export licence for the missiles.
"We do not see this matter being resolved immediately because of the parties involved.
"First, we have received absolutely no cooperation from the Norwegian government to assist us, none at all, even though it is the party responsible for the problem by not allowing the export licence to be issued," Khaled said at a press conference following the launch of Siber Siaga today.
