KUALA LUMPUR: Prasarana Malaysia Bhd will invest RM3.4 billion in a rail service recovery programme to improve service reliability, operational efficiency and passenger experience under the 2027 Budget.

In a statement, the public transport operator welcomed the measures announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which emphasised accessibility, service reliability and passenger comfort.

Prasarana said the investment formed part of its long-term commitment to strengthening rail system capacity and resilience, optimising asset performance and minimising service disruptions.

"Prasarana expresses its appreciation to the government for its decision to continue the My50 travel pass, which benefits approximately 300,000 users of rail and bus services operated by Rapid KL in the Klang Valley every month," said Prasarana.
