ALOR STAR: The Kedah Education Department is monitoring the case of a Form One student who was seriously injured after he was believed to have fallen from the third floor of a secondary school in Kulim Bandar Baharu.
The incident occurred on Sunday. The 13-year-old boy is now reportedly conscious and remains under treatment and close observation at a hospital.
In a statement today, the department expressed sympathy to the student and prayed for his recovery.
"Upon receiving information about the incident, the school and the Kulim Bandar Baharu District Education Office took immediate action, including contacting the student's family and lodging a report with the authorities," it said.
Psychosocial support was also provided to the student, his family and schoolmates affected by the incident.
