KUALA LUMPUR: A former bank officer was fined RM36,000 by the sessions court today after pleading guilty to six charges of failing to report the receipt of more than RM80,000 in bribes related to personal financing applications.
Judge Rosli Ahmad meted out the sentence against Noor Iskandar Aziz, 45, and ordered him to serve six months in jail if he failed to settle the fine.
Noor Iskandar was accused of receiving six bribes totalling RM80,119 – RM30,689, RM18,425, RM11,690, RM14,540, RM3,400 and RM1,375 – via bank transfers to his account and his wife's account between Oct 5, 2021 and May 11, 2023.
