KUANTAN: Police have arrested seven people, including foreigners, in connection with the theft of 2.5kg of jewellery worth over RM1.7 million from a shopping mall at Genting Highlands in August.

Acting Pahang police chief Azry Akmar Ayob said the suspects, aged between 25 and 64, were arrested in the Klang Valley and Penang between Aug 20 and Oct 3.

"The latest arrest involved an individual at KLIA shortly after arriving in the country. The suspect is under remand, while the other six have been released on police bail,” he said.

He said those arrested were believed to be linked to the main suspect.
