KUANTAN: Pahang police are still hunting the suspected mastermind behind the RM1.7 million jewellery heist at SkyAvenue, Genting Highlands, following the arrest of seven suspects.

Pahang acting police chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob said the suspects, including a woman, are believed to be linked to the mastermind.

"The suspects include three foreigners, two men and a woman. They are aged between 25 and 64," he said.

Azry said six suspects, including the woman, had been released on police bail, while the Chinese national arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport yesterday had been remanded until Oct 10.

He said the case was being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for armed gang robbery.
