Umno and PAS are in talks for a pact in the Nov 14 Melaka election, with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang previously saying a deal had been reached in principle.PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director Sanusi Nor has suggested that component parties contest in the upcoming Melaka polls under PAS's banner following the coalition's deregistration.
Sanusi, who is also PAS election director, said there should be no issue with using the Islamic party's iconic moon logo as it was already familiar to voters.
“PN can use the PAS logo to contest in the state election,” he said, according to Harian Metro.
Earlier today, the RoS announced PN’s deregistration after finding that the coalition’s response to a show-cause notice issued last month failed to justify retaining its registration.
