KUALA LUMPUR: Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) has recorded more than RM200 million in outstanding levies involving 23,000 registered employers as of September.

Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan said HRD Corp was exploring solutions and suitable approaches to recover the outstanding payments.

He said levy payments were important to enable companies to provide upskilling and reskilling programmes, ensuring workers had the skills needed to meet industry requirements.

"Our efforts are for the benefit of the industry and the country. To compete with other nations, our workforce must be prepared and equipped with relevant skills and knowledge that meet current and future needs.
