PETALING JAYA: Umno has officially closed its Najib Razak Solidarity Fund after contributions collected reached the target and were sufficient to fulfil its intended purpose.
Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the party had completed all payment procedures to the Kuala Lumpur High Court this morning.
He said the special account established to receive public donations had been officially closed, with no further fundraising required.
“Umno wishes to announce that the total funds collected through the Najib Razak Solidarity Fund, launched on Sept 18 to assist former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, have reached the target and are sufficient.
