KUANTAN: Police have recorded statements from eight people in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic student in Jalan Air Putih here on Oct 6.
Pahang acting police chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob said those questioned included the victim's housemates and the owner of the premises.
"We have so far questioned eight people, including three of the victim's friends, and may call more if necessary.
"Investigations are ongoing. Once completed, the investigation papers will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor for further instructions," he said when contacted today.
M. Elisa Jonova, a diploma student, was found dead in her rented room at the premises at 4.30am. She was allegedly strangled following an argument with her boyfriend.
